{"id":36496,"date":"2021-03-16T16:31:01","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T05:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hudson.org.au?post_type=hdsn_news_post&#038;p=36496"},"modified":"2023-08-28T13:36:15","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T03:36:15","slug":"pancreatic-cancer-funding-boost","status":"publish","type":"hdsn_news_post","link":"https:\/\/hudson.org.au\/news\/pancreatic-cancer-funding-boost\/","title":{"rendered":"Pancreatic cancer funding boost"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"intro\">Congratulations to Professor Brendan Jenkins and his team, who have been awarded $288,536 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancervic.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cancer Council Victoria (CCV)<\/a> to fund research into pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Jenkins&#8217; project was one of 13 projects to receive a share in $3.8 million in 2021 from CCV&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancervic.org.au\/research\/grants\/grants-in-aid_recipients#projects2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grants-in-Aid<\/a> program, which funds high-quality research into the treatment, causes, detection and prevention of all cancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study will investigate a precision medicine approach to a form of pancreatic cancer called pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
